Refugee 202 - An intercultural lens for working with refugees: Trust-building and Communication

Feb. 2, 2023 | Thank you for your interest in the Glocal Community Partners 202 Training. Any intercultural interaction comes with layers and layers of complexity. Add on the specific complexities and traumas of the refugee experience, and the challenge is real. In this interactive workshop, we’ll be looking through the intercultural lens at trust-building and communication, two essential pieces of effective work at Glocal. My hope is that you’ll leave with increased intercultural awareness and deeper compassion and understanding for the unique challenges of integrating into US culture. This training is being done by Claire Ivins. For the last 10 years, Claire has been working with international teams, helping them collaborate better across cultural barriers. Having grown up in China and living in Toulouse, France for the past 12 years, Claire is passionate about helping people understand each other better, especially in a cross-cutlural context.
